The Technology Enhanced Active Learning (TEAL) room encourages interactive learning in small groups, and is supported by technology that makes studying constructive and enjoyable.

Located in the Faculty of Business and Law, the TEAL room is a flexible space in which lecturers can share their computer screen directly to each of the specially-designed tables for students teams of up to 9 people. Each table is set up to encourage student participation, and has an LED whiteboard and 3 laptops.

The small group learning format promotes information sharing, and students can work together to prepare presentations, write reports or collaborate on the same documents at the same time. This form of social learning helps students learn to problem-solve and work as a team. It also challenges students of all abilities, as it requires them to fully understand a subject, in order to explain it to their peers.
