Dennis Roe, a master’s student on the at the ºÚÁϳԹÏ, has won the (ASC) Imbert Award.
The is awarded annually to the best master’s degree dissertation on a security-related subject. This award, inspired by the legacy of the late Lord Imbert of New Romney, recognises outstanding academic achievement in security-related fields and is fiercely competed for by students from universities across the UK.
Dennis received the award for his exceptional dissertation, entitled "How ‘Risky’ are the surveyors who design security and surveillance solutions? A critical evaluation of the competency of UK Security Sector personnel relating to the design proposal and supply of risk-aware and risk-based electronic security systems".
His deep understanding of the subject, combined with an unwavering commitment to academic excellence, truly sets him apart. His work is not just a dissertation but a milestone in security studies. Dennis was announced at the ASC Awards Dinner held at the House of Lords. At the event, the ºÚÁϳԹÏ’s School of Criminology and Criminal Justice also received a certificate of recognition for its invaluable contribution to academic excellence.
