ºÚÁϳԹÏhas risen 34 places to be ranked 33rd in the Guide.

The ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï has risen 34 places to be ranked in the Top 35 of all UK universities in published today (9 September 2023). 

ºÚÁϳԹÏwas ranked 33rd, up 34 places from 67th in last year’s rankings.

The Guardian Good University Guide is an established league table that assesses universities based on a number of important criteria, including student satisfaction and graduate employment prospects. It provides rankings for UK universities and is one of the most comprehensive overviews of higher education in Britain

ºÚÁϳԹÏwas ranked in the top 10 nationally in five subjects:

  • Pharmacy and Pharmacology (3rd)
  • Film Production and Photography (3rd)
  • Anatomy and Physiology (5th)
  • Journalism (6th)
  • Animation and Games Design (10th)

Professor Graham Galbraith, Vice-Chancellor of the ºÚÁϳԹÏ, said: “I am extremely pleased to see us rise once again in a significant nationally recognised and important league table.  

“These league tables are a valuable source of information for prospective students to help them make the right decisions about where and what to study as they take their first steps into higher education.

“Today’s ranking and other recent performances reflect our fundamental mission to provide the very best for our students. They also demonstrate our continued progress towards our long-term ambition to be the top modern UK university and in the top 100 young universities in the world by the end of the decade.â€

This latest ranking success follows ºÚÁϳԹÏbeing named as one of the UK’s top 50 universities, according to the 2024 edition of the QS World University Rankings. The University also reclaimed its top 50 place in the Complete University Guide, where it was ranked 47th, up 22 places from 69th in last year’s league table.
