Here's what's coming up at this year's HE Advisers' Conference in Portsmouth, including the opportunity to personalise your experience by selecting two subject sessions to experience demos and tours of our labs, facilities and teaching spaces.

Welcome! Here's your intro to the event and what's coming up, from a member of our University Executive Board at the ºÚÁϳԹÏ, including updates on Connected Degrees at Portsmouth, where your students can customise their university experience by choosing to get the benefits of a placement year when they’re ready.

Get up to date on the latest research into graduate salaries, skill requirements, hiring strategies and job prospects.

Find out what students are saying about the employment market, the support they receive from the university and how an optional work placement can impact graduate outcomes and academic performance.

    Discover the diverse range of creative courses available to students and our exceptional facilities, including 3D workshops, VR labs, and music studios.
  • Architecture
    Get an inside look at what it's like to study architecture and interior design at university. During the tour, you’ll visit our workshops, and explore the creative process, design techniques and portfolio creation.
  • Criminology
    Join us for a tour of our crime scene and forensic laboratory facilities and listen to what makes our courses so special and inclusive; from Criminology, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Cyber and Economic Crime, and of course Forensic Investigation.
  • Education Studies
    With a focus on broad professional pathways and integration of both human and technological innovation, discover how our courses prepare students for diverse careers in various education-related sectors, from teaching and leadership to youth work and early childhood education to marketing and EdTech innovation.
  • Environment, Geography and Geosciences
    Explore Environment, Geography, and Geosciences courses and visit facilities like our electron microscopy units and environmental chemistry labs to learn about the practical applications of degrees and the exciting career paths for your students.
  • Film and TV
    Come and meet our team as we explore an expanding portfolio of courses and resources in Film and Television. Courses include our Film Production/ TV Pathway, Post-Production, and Screenwriting.
  • Health Courses & Degree Apprenticeship Routes
    Learn about Paramedic Science, Operating Department Practice, Radiography and Nursing, before touring our St Andrews Court Simulation Centre, where students refine their skills for the future. An introduction to Degree Apprenticeships in healthcare as an alternative route to eligibility for professional registration.
  • Media and Journalism
    Discover how your students' love of film, TV, books and social media could inspire them to study these subjects at university by touring our teaching spaces, studios, and specialist facilities. 
  • Modern Foreign Languages
    Discover how we prepare your students for careers in global industries, including business, translation, and marketing. Our focus on language proficiency, cultural understanding, and transferable skills ensures graduates are equipped to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving international job market.
  • Robotics & AI
    A look at our brand new robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Lab with a demonstration of our cutting-edge equipment. You'll also get to see the exciting career paths that your students could explore with jobs in AI after graduating from one of our brand new undergraduate programmes.

  • Business & Marketing
    Discover the dynamic relationship between AI and marketing, and the exciting career opportunities emerging for your students. You'll see how AI technologies are transforming marketing strategies and shaping the future of industries to give your students the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in evolving fields.
  • Careers in the Space Industry
    Visit our mission incubator, where we are planning future space missions with leading industry partners. Help your students to launch their careers in the space industry from across subject areas including Physics and Astrophysics.
  • Centre for Creative and Immersive Extended Reality (CCIXR) Tour
    Explore our home of creative arts, media and technologies and see our Centre for Creative and Immersive Extended Reality – the UK’s first integrated facility with a full suite of extended reality technologies.
  • Drama
    Join our exciting team at White swan studios and explore our theatre spaces. Expect a joyful and informative insight into performing arts.
  • English Literature
    Discover one of the most versatile degrees at university, and take a look at the project activities your students could undertake, including designing and managing an annual literary prize.
  • Politics, International Development & International Relations

    Learn about different courses offered in our Sport programmes, before visiting facilities like our ‘extreme’ laboratories, where you'll learn about the cutting-edge research and technologies that students use to enhance athletic performance.
