Biography
Prior to my current position as Senior Nurse lecturer, I have gained significant clinical knowledge and expertise working as a nurse within the NHS for over 20 years. I have two Bachelor of Sciences Awards within Nursing(1st class honors and a 2:1) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Management. My most recent role as a Community Matron has involved supporting individuals and their carers living with multiple complex long term conditions to manage their condition in their own homes and to avoid unnecessary hospital admissions. With a second degree as a Community Specialist practitioner I have also gained Advanced history taking and physical assessment skills, mentorship skills and am a non medical prescriber (Masters accreditation); Skills that have enabled service users to expedite care of the highest quality.
