Biography

I am a Lecturer in Biomechanics at the ºÚÁϳԹÏ. I completed my undergraduate degree in Sport and Exercise Science and postgraduate degree in Sports Biomechanics at the University of Chester. I then enrolled onto a part-time PhD at the University of Winchester, investigating the use of a lower-limb robotic device as a home-based rehabilitation tool for those with chronic stroke. In 2017 I was appointed as a Lecturer in Biomechanics at the University of Winchester before joining the ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï in 2021.

Whilst at Chester I worked on projects linked with British Athletics and GB Archery. I continued my applied work at Winchester as Biomechanics Lead for the Hampshire Institute of Sport (HIS). I have served as a member of university research ethics and Athena SWAN committees and am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). I am now part of the Physical Activity, Health and Rehabilitation Thematic Research Group, and Clinical, Health and Rehabilitation Research Team () at ºÚÁϳԹÏwhere my research continues to broadly focus on stroke and the use of robotic devices within rehabilitation.

Research interests

My primary research interests lie within stroke rehabilitation and the use of robotic devices as rehabilitation tools. More broadly, my research is focused on the biomechanical effects of interventions in clinical populations.
